Firstly, I know this may be controversial, but I love the change in weather. I feel so relieved when summer starts to break and the cool, crisp air rolls in.
It's partly because UK summers are notoriously unpredictable, and on those fleeting hot days, there's so much pressure to be outside on some epic adventure. You feel guilty if it's nice outside and you're inside watching TV.
But the weather in autumn is beautifully consistent. You know it's going to be cooler, cloudy, foggy, rainy. When you plan an outside activity, you expect the "bad" weather - and when you're inside, you can relish in the cosiness of being tucked up warm and dry in a blanket, while the rain beats against the windows.
There are so many fun things to do in autumn, but it's also a time of slowing down. It's okay if all you want to do today is bake gingerbread cookies and watch a Harry Potter marathon.
It's the time of year when I feel the most creative. With added rest and downtime comes added room for creativity - and with the gorgeous displays of the richest reds, oranges and yellows right outside your front door - well, how could you not be inspired?
Mother nature is igniting, and with it, my soul ignites. One last beautiful, breathtaking dance before slipping into the embrace of winter's deep sleep.
I truly feel that all you need to do to love this time of year is step outside as the sun is beginning to set, and look up at the sky. You'll see a spectacle of powdery baby blues fading into candy-floss pink, streaks of yellow clouds and a blazing orange inferno on the horizon.

We start to make our spaces cosier at this time of year, lighting candles and decorating with warm earthy tones. We take a little extra care of ourselves to combat the sudden extra darkness - luxuriously making hot drinks just the way we like them, or soaking in hot baths.
Autumn celebrates the beauty of change, of slowing down, reminding us that we're not evergreen beings - and that's okay.
Oh yes, autumn has my heart.
